A Quick Summary

I'm going to try and sum up my first few weeks of work in a few posts on here rather than going into too much detail by posting pictures of my reflective journal ramblings as they are borderline illegible.
My project is titled Kernow which is the cornish word for Cornwall. I chose this as the theme for my final major project because I was born there, I have family from there and I just generally find the place to be fascinating.
The first few pages of my book are there to show the more immidiate associations of Cornwall as a place including a map from Google Maps so I can have a reliable reference for shapes and locations, as well as some stylised ones. The first is an illustrative map showing points of interest and landmarks for tourists, including Truro cathedral, St Ives Tate Museum of Modern Art and the site of the legends of King Arthur. I thought that this would be a useful piece to refer back to throughout my project for inspiration.
I have also included a page on the cornish flag with thoughts on its origins as well as the symbol of the 15 gold bezants and some brief information on other cornish symbols and associated colours I could possibly use as a colour theme throughout.

Introduction

I'm beginning this blog a bit late as I was originally intending to write a reflective journal to document my development through my final major project.
I have started my reflective journal but found it more difficult to keep up with than I anticipated and I'm now in self isolation (I live with my grandparents and don't want them to get coronavirus) with my journal waiting patiently at college.
Starting this blog seemed to make more sense than starting a new journal.
